Schenley Park’s Tree Canopy Gets a Boost!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Tree Canopy Project is well underway—and the trees are now in the ground! Thanks to the leadership of Juliette Sigfried and the unwavering support from Commissioner Kevin Cabrera’s office, our neighborhood will benefit from cooler sidewalks, reduced energy costs, and improved flood control.

A huge thank you to Josie and Manny from the Commissioner’s office for their commitment to this initiative and for ensuring our voices were heard.

What’s next? There’s still an opportunity to plant more trees! Efforts are being made to follow up on surveys that weren’t answered, with the goal of getting the rest of the approved trees planted in the next season.

This is a big win for Schenley Park, and we appreciate everyone who has supported this effort. 💚
